On May 25, 2007, I was diagnosed with stage-four small cell lung cancer. It had metastesized to my adrenal glands. I had never had any serious medical problems. The only reason we found out about the cancer was a pain in my back. I thought I had pulled a muscle and was short of breath.
The doctor told us I could do some radiation to shrink the tumor that was pushing on my windpipe, causing the shortness of breath. What he didn't tell me, but told my husband in private, was I only had 7 to 8 weeks to live and that doing the radiation was only to help me breathe easier. There was no reason to do anything else because my probable survival rate would be only around 5%. In other words, take her home and plan your future without her!
Dan, my husband of 27 years WAS NOT going to let me die without a fight. He spent the next few days researching and reading everything he could about different cancer treatments.
He found out about Protocel and immediately started me on the regimen. I took 31 radiation treatments and started Protocel after the first week of radiation. The doctor was very surprised when I didn't keep deteriorating and seemed to be healthy considering my diagnosis. He decided I should go for the chemo (at this time we hadn't told him about my taking Protocel).
I did do two intravenous chemo treatments (was told I needed four but I didn't like the harm it was doing to me and sickness) and one round of the oral chemo pills. I had the usual side effects, but for some reason I wasn't as affected as badly as others I had talked to. Six months later, my cancer was not visible and I felt better than I ever had!
It has been 2 years since I was diagnosed and still no sign of cancer! I did the traditional treatments (mainly because I was raised to do what the doctor says!!) But had it not been for my husband and his determination to help me live, making sure I took my Protocel, I believe the chemo would have killed me.
I had two friends diagnosed shortly after I was, one with the same type of cancer as mine. I got one friend started on Protocel. She didn't do any medical treatments. After six months her cancer had shrunk and she was so excited. Then six months later I was called and told she had died. They also told me shortly after finding out her cancer had shrunk she quit taking Protocel. I was heartbroken.
The other friend, that also had lung cancer, had seen how it had helped me get through chemo and radiation side effects. She asked her doctor about taking Protocel and was told to wait and see if the chemo helped. So she followed his orders with me begging her to take Protocel the whole time. After four chemo treatments, the cancer went to her brain and she died soon after.
Why would my best friend ignore the obvious? When we told my cancer doctor about Protocel, he said, "I don't know what you're doing, but whatever it is, keep doing it!" Later I was told doctors couldn't endorse alternative ideas. But in a roundabout way, he did. He could tell something was making me well, because in the beginning he wasn't even going to recommend chemo; I was too far gone! I firmly believe my husband with his determination, prayers from all my friends and loved ones, and most of all Protocel, is the reason that I am still "clean" 1 1/2 years later.
By the way, I still take my 4 doses a day; I even have my alarm set for 3 a.m. so as not to miss any! I'm not taking any chances! Thank you, PROTOCEL®.
